Resolutions Don't Suck, And Here's Why

With the new year, resolutions are all the rage. And while I hear that only 8% stick with their New Years resolutions, these goals are a great way to develop personally, especially as it pertains to growing a relationship with God. Sometime the goals we set are great kickstarters for how God is already molding us and don't end up as initially planned.

Maybe our goals start out a bit narcissistic. Maybe we are just fed up with the way life is going... so it seems. But in the end, He is always there beside us. He is helping us walk our path.

I definitely want to lose the extra ten pounds relaxing above my hip bones this year. I would be lying if I stated otherwise. There are other things I want to accomplish in 2013 as well, as it relates to my career, family, and my spiritual development.

It's great that we have this time of year to reevaluate the path we are riding on. Is it time for a U-turn or a new route? Maybe it is time to push through on the same course or to turn off the cruise control.

I should probably draw upon something for this. I'll post that tomorrow.  In the meantime, as you craft and reevaluate your resolutions for 2013 take in this song by Tenth Avenue North called You Are More. I think you'll like it.
