Resolutions Don't Suck, And Here's Why
With the new year, resolutions are all the rage. And while I hear that only 8% stick with their New Years resolutions, these goals are a great way to develop personally, especially as it pertains to growing a relationship with God. Sometime the goals we set are great kickstarters for how God is already molding us and don't end up as initially planned.
Maybe our goals start out a bit narcissistic. Maybe we are just fed up with the way life is going... so it seems. But in the end, He is always there beside us. He is helping us walk our path.
I definitely want to lose the extra ten pounds relaxing above my hip bones this year. I would be lying if I stated otherwise. There are other things I want to accomplish in 2013 as well, as it relates to my career, family, and my spiritual development.
It's great that we have this time of year to reevaluate the path we are riding on. Is it time for a U-turn or a new route? Maybe it is time to push through on the same course or to turn off the cruise control.
I should probably draw upon something for this. I'll post that tomorrow. In the meantime, as you craft and reevaluate your resolutions for 2013 take in this song by Tenth Avenue North called You Are More. I think you'll like it.

The Blogger Universe
It has been a while since I have posted. No surprise, isn't that how all blogs fall off the face of the Internet? Well, I have been playing with a few blog ideas and haven't quite landed on the right "positioning" yet.
From the outside looking in on the lives of bloggers, it seems perfect. Who wouldn't want to write about what is on your heart and mind, share it with the world, and then enjoy the rest of your day?
The bummer is that it takes more than that to be in this blogger universe. Bloggers (I am learning quickly), are amazingly organized planners, creative types, and also talented business people. They are running their own business essentially, creating their very own content for their viewers, all while supporting there families. Long story short - it is more than a pastime for blogger elite. It is a job.
I have a deep respect for blogger elite. It would be amazing if one took me under their wings and showed me the ropes. However, I have a feeling in this blogger eat blogger world, you have to "prove" yourself a bit first. Show you are committed...
Only time will tell if it's the right place for me to be, and I'm sure God will be on the ride with me as I figure a thing or two out.
Happy 2013 to all.
